MIRA (MicroRNA-based Endometrial Receptivity Analysis)
Increase the chances of pregnancy by identifying the right time for embryo transfer
MIRA is a MicroRNA (miRNA) -based analysis that can assess a combination of miRNA biomarkers in order to determine the status of a female's endometrium receptivity. The testing will identify the best personalized timing for implantation to increase the chances of in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment success.
What is endometrium receptivity?
An endometrium is receptive when it is ready for embryo implantation. This period of receptivity is called the window of implantation (WOI).
Studies showed that wrong timing of endometrial receptivity is one of the leading causes of recurrent implantation failure (RIF). The results also indicated that 3 in every 10 patients have a displaced WOI (Timeva et al., 2014; Patel et al., 2019).
This is the reason why identifying the optimal day(s) for embryo transfer is essential for implantation.
The advantages of MIRA
Examples of miRNA biomarkers for endometrium receptivity
MicroRNAs are the upstream regulators of mRNA that can control the pathways related to endometrial receptivity.
Who could take this test?
✔ Any woman that plans to undergo IVF treatment process
✔ Recurrent implantation failures with good quality embryos
