Pediatric Cytochrome P450 Testing is the first drug-gene testing that GGA develops.  It mainly tests 20 selected-regular medicines to babies or kids by pediatricians and can offer how kids’ bodies may respond.  The testing result could be a useful medication to pediatricians and family-caring guide for parents’ reference.

6 types of medicine:
  • Non-Steroidal Anti-inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs)
  • Analgesic Antipyretic Drugs
  • Antihistamine Drugs
  • Antiemetic Drugs
  • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD Drugs)
  • Antiepileptic Drugs.

Cytochrome P450 Testing (Drug-gene testing)

Pharmacogenetics or Pharmacogenomics, also called Drug-gene testing, is the study of how genes affect one body's response to medication. Detected variations in Cytochrome P 450 (CYP450) family genes which determine whether a doctor could offer an effective treatment for the patient or whether the patient could have side effects from a specific medication.

The Pediatric Cytochrome P450 Testing could help determine:

  • Effective treatment
  • Best dose of a medication
